Pressure Release Hanger is a pressure-releasable downhole anchoring device designed for temporary suspension of tools and equipment in wells without nipple profiles or landing shoulders.

The tool anchors securely at target depth and may be released by applying surface pressure or gas pressure generated by perforating guns. The tool can be also released using conventional pulling tool when required.

The PRH is used for perforating gun suspension, memory gauge deployment, and secure conveyance of logging tools in high deviation wells. It can also be applied for cementing operations, chemical or scale inhibitor placement, fluid sampling, and temporary deployment of monitoring systems.
